Pre-federation homes are usually quite ornate and traditionally English.

Picket fencing is generally the standard on Victorian home without capping or miniorb but with a scalloped dip to the pickets between posts.

As with any picket fence there is a reasonable amount of maintenance involved.

It is vital that the rails and plinths are top quality as any warping and twisting can soon cause the fence to look very shabby. This is why I only use cypress or F7 treated pine in these areas.
